Jeff Maxey

Having been in the field of aquatics since 1985, Jeff Maxey has enjoyed a tremendous opportunity to collect expertise in all facets of aquatic facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance. Working as an Aquatics Supervisor with such notable agencies as Foothills Park and Recreation District, City of Thornton Recreation Division, North Jeffco Park and Recreation District, and the Town of Castle Rock, Jeff has developed a thorough knowledge of successful aquatic facility operation.  Jeff was fully involved with the planning, development, design, construction and operation of the 89,000 square foot Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center in Thornton, and the 126,000 square foot APEX Center in Arvada.

Recognizing the need for quality aquatic consulting in Colorado and surrounding states, Maxey Aquatics LLC was incorporated in 2002 to offer unparalleled training programs and consulting services to that area. Since its incorporation, Maxey Aquatics has trained thousands of aquatic professionals in matters including, but not limited to, water chemistry, risk management, water treatment, operational management, aquatic facility design, and maintenance. Through consulting representation, Jeff has been part of the design and construction of several aquatic facilities within the state of Colorado and has offered technical support, design consultation, modernization planning, feasibility studies, and troubleshooting to countless aquatic facilities.

Jeff has held Instructor Trainer Certifications in Risk Management curriculums by the American Red Cross and the National Pool and Waterpark Organization as backed by Ellis and Associates Risk Management Firm. He was the State of Colorado’s National Faculty Advisory Committee representative for the American Red Cross’ Lifeguard Training rollout in 1997 and sat on the oversight committee for the re-development of the Colorado State Board of Health Swimming Pool and Mineral Bath Regulations in 1993.
