Having been in the field of aquatics since 1985, Jeff Maxey has enjoyed a tremendous opportunity to collect expertise in all facets of aquatic facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance. Working as an Aquatics Supervisor with such notable agencies as Foothills Park and Recreation District, City of Thornton Recreation Division, North Jeffco Park and Recreation District, South Suburban Park and Recreation District and the Town of Castle Rock, Jeff has developed a thorough knowledge of successful aquatic facility operation. Jeff was fully involved with the planning, development, design, construction and operation of the 89,000 square foot Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center in Thornton, and the 126,000 square foot APEX Center in Arvada.
Jeff has been a national speaker at the NRPA National Aquatic Conference, the National Facilities Design and Management School, the Water Technologies National Educational Symposium, and several other state and local educational forums. Recognizing the need for quality aquatic consulting in Colorado and surrounding states, Maxey Aquatics LLC. was incorporated in 2002 to offer unparalleled training programs and consulting services to that area. Since its incorporation, Maxey Aquatics has trained thousands of aquatic professionals in matters including, but not limited to, water chemistry, risk management, water treatment, operational management, aquatic facility design, and maintenance.
